2021 National Kayak Trail Events

It’s finally here - the 2021 kayak trails are ramping up and anglers have spent all of their gift cards they received for Christmas. Reels are being relined, tackle organized, calendars filled up with the events for the year. We will take a look at what is coming up to start the year as well as look into the trails and what changes are on tap for 2021.This will include just the major trails and not the other exciting opportunities that are available in 2021 that we will cover at a later date.

Kayak Bass Fishing (KBF)

The first stop of the year is one of the most popular and most elite in kayak bass fishing. The Dee Zee KBF The Ten (The Ten) will be held in Kissimmee, FL once again on February 1st and 2nd. The Tenvitational which is the last chance qualifier for The Ten will be on January 30th and 31st, and there will also be the first KBF Trail events that weekend on the same chain of lakes.

The top 10 in KBF Trail points anglers as well as the All American Kayak Classic winner, as well a potential 12th angler from the Tenvitational will compete for the coveted The Ten title. The angler’s in The Ten house will be competing in the Tenvitational as well to try and keep a 12th angler from joining the competition!

At the same time as these events, the KBF Trail Kissimmee events will also be going on to start the 2021 Angler of the Year race to qualify for the 2022 KBF The Ten. The 2021 KBF Trail will consists of events throughout the country but without the regional separation they tested out in 2020. In place of that, KBF will focus its efforts on less is more, keeping the opportunity for national events and titles, but also putting its efforts back to the grass roots side with emphasis on The KBF Challenge series. Entry fee for KBF Trail events are $100.

Hobie Bass Open Series

The Hobie Bass Open Series (BOS) is back for another season of highly competitive angling in 2021.The Tournament of Champions will be a 3 day event this year, with no shootout. There is also an off limits rule added for the TOC, as some minor rule changes throughout so make sure you read them thouroughly! Event entries are $260.

Bassmaster B.A.S.S. Nation Kayak Series

The Bassmaster B.A.S.S. Nation Kayak Seriesis back in 2021 with some great stops for the competitive kayak angler. The championship will be held in conjunction with the 2022 Bassmaster Classic. The series hasn’t announced any major changes at this point, and will be powered by TourneyX. Entry fees for events are $250.
