Bass Pro Shops’ US Open registration begins July 14th

Bass Pro Shops announced that registration opens next week for a chance to participate in the biggest sporting event of its kind! Earlier this year, Bass Pro Shops announced the Bass Pro Shops US Open, an amateur-only bass fishing tournament with a total guaranteed purse of $4.3 million.

Qualifying events will be held at at Old Hickory Lake near Nashville on Sept. 11, 2021 and Grand Lake near Tulsa on Oct. 16, 2021. Registration for these events will open on Wednesday, July 14 for 24 hours only at basspro.com/usopen, where interested anglers can also find more details about the tournament and a full list of rules.

Each event will host 250 amateur fishing team to compete for the biggest prize in freshwater fishing. With proceeds benefitting conservation and the future of fishing, the event is being created exclusively for amateurs including serious weekend tournament anglers, parents, grandparents, and youngsters, giving everyday anglers a chance to win big!

The top 40 finishers from each location will be eligible to fish the National Championship this November at Big Cedar Lodge on famed Table Rock Lake in Missouri. The National Championship will be an internationally broadcast and feature 350 two-person teams competing for the ultimate $1 million prize, the largest payout in fishing tournament history.

Registration will be open for 24 hours from Wednesday, July 14 at 10 a.m. CT through Thursday, July 15 at 10 a.m. CT online at basspro.com/usopen.
