KBF returning returning to Potomac River in April 2022
The Realtree Fishing KBF TRAIL Series presented by DEE ZEE will have its sixth stop of the season on the Potomac River on April 9-10, 2022. Hosted by Stafford County, VA, the events comprise two single day tournaments with a Catch-Photo-Release format as well as a KBF PRO SERIES event.
The last time the KBF Trail visited the Potomac River on May 1, 2021 102 anglers competed on a windy Saturday with average fish lengths over 16". J.R. Rentz finished the day in 1st place with 89.75" targeting wood down a specific bank throughout the day. Rentz was able to quickly fill a limit on the incoming tide, and returned to the same area later in the day to upgrade a couple fish to take the win including a 19.5" largemouth which ended up tying 3 other anglers for big bass. Ryan Matylewicz took 2nd place with an impressive 87.25" followed by Dontrell Sullivan with 86.5".
Trail II at the Potomac River was won by John Tibbons with 89", followed closely by Eric Polenz with 88" and Sterling Leach with 86.5". Big Bass on Trail II was 20.25" put up by Victor Hendrix.
